Johnathan Hildred Wall, Jr., born September 6, 1990 in Raleigh, North Carolina is an American basketball player for the Washington Wizards of the National Basketball Association. Wall was selected first overall in the 2010 NBA Draft by the Wizards.
Wall played his first two years of high school basketball at Garner Magnet High School in Garner, North Carolina. After his second season, the family moved to Raleigh, and Wall repeated his sophomore year at Needham B. Broughton High School.
Wall promised to attend the University of Kentucky, 19 May 2009.Wall was properly introduced, as his teammates, Kentucky fanbase through the annual Big Blue Madness event. He was suspended by the NCAA from Kentucky first exhibition game and first regular season game for the travel benefits he received from his AAU coach, Brian Clifton, who was a certified agent at the time.
